在介紹歌詞之前，想先介紹這位才華洋溢，卻歷經許多痛苦的歌手—Halsey。他的藝名是由本名Ashley字母順序調換、以及紐約布魯克林區一處Halsey Street得來。

年少時期的Halsey並不像一般人順遂，歷經霸凌、到處搬家，使得他善於隱藏情緒。最令人難過的是他曾經被性侵、被男友”強迫”…就連成名後也遭受過性騷擾，甚至下體出血，卻硬撐完成表演，導致流產。

2018年全世界最有名的標籤之一 #MeToo 講得是女性捍衛權益，站出來反抗性騷擾、性侵害，而Halsey也為此寫了詩詞表達內心的想法。

他說他會教我彈吉他，只要我保持安靜。接著，1245公寓旁的樓梯間，便終其一生出現在我的睡夢裡。
